When is the centre closed?
RCCC observes the following statutory holidays:
New Year’s Day
Family Day
Good Friday
Easter Monday
Victoria Day
Canada Day
Civic Holiday
Labour Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
Boxing Day
The Centre closes at 1:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. If the statutory holiday falls on a weekend, we are closed the next business day. If Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve fall on a weekend, one day will be given in between Christmas and New Year’s. This will be determined in November.
Where can I register my child?
You must first register them on the City of Ottawa Child Care Registry and Waitlist. For more information, please see our Waitlist & Registry page.
Do you do part-time options?
No - All our spaces are full-time.
Is the centre part of the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care Funding?
Rockcliffe Child Care Centre proudly participates in the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) funding. To learn more about the CWELCC system, please see the following links:
Is there a deposit upon enrollment?
Yes - There is a $450.00 non-refundable deposit that will be applied to your child’s first month's fee.
What are the Educator-to-Child Ratios?
Toddler Program: 1 Educator to 5 Children
Total Number of Children in Program: 15 children
Preschool Program: 1 Educator to 8 Children
Total Number of Children in Program: 24 children (16 children with 8 Junior-Kindergarten children)
School-Age Program: 1 Educator to 15 Children
Total Number of Children in Program: 30 children
As a whole, the centre is licensed for a total of 69 children.
Do you provide lunches and snacks?
Yes - RCCC has an on-site chef who prepares nutritious, balanced meals and snacks.
Can I provide my child with meals or snacks containing nuts?
No. In continuing the safety of children with food allergies and intolerances, RCCC is a nut-free environment.
What resources can you share for educators and families alike?
